George Baraque

George Baraque has resided his entire life in South Florida as his family emigrated from Colombia when he was seven months old. George's family settled in Hialeah (of Hialeah Race Track fame). George graduated from the University of Miami, with a B.B.A. in Accounting in 1981 and in 1985 a law degree from the University of Miami. George received his CPA certification in 1983.

From 1981 to approximately 1985, George was employed by Arthur Andersen, LLP, one of the largest accounting firms in the U.S. providing auditing, tax and consulting services to large corporations. He was assigned to the tax division in the Fort Lauderdale office during his entire tenure with the company.

After leaving Arthur Andersen, George went to practice on his own and would ultimately concentrate on forensic accounting matters. This would direct his focus to court related matters including fraud investigations, bankruptcy matters, divorce disputes, and related litigation support.

When his child was born George began working from home so he could take care of his daughter. He was a stay at home dad until she entered high school. George has since gone out to practice full time.

George also holds a Real Estate Broker’s license in the State of Florida.

  • IRS dispute resolutions including preparation of prior year returns which require reconstruction of prior year figures from whatever support documents.are available.
  • Complex corporate and Estate tax returns (IRS Form 706)
  • Forensic analysis of and litigation support for matters in dispute including court testimony.
