Charles “Charlie” Lustik

Construction Management

As a licensed Certified General Contractor in the State of Florida and owner of Charlie Lustik & Associates in Fort Lauderdale, Charlie Lustik has served as a residential and commercial construction professional on virtually every level for nearly 30 years.

He has worked on and completed numerous projects as diverse as a $55,000 budget retail build out at Fort Lauderdale’s Galleria Mall to an $87 million construction and development budget on the 30 story, 124 unit Jackson Tower condominiums in Fort Lauderdale on Las Olas Blvd.

Not only has Charlie worked on projects throughout South Florida, but he has completed major projects in such diverse locations as: Atlanta, Georgia; Durham, North Carolina; Memphis, Tennessee; Orlando, Florida; Tampa, Florida; and Washington, D.C.

In 2016 Charlie and his company were honored and recognized as a top designer and contractor by Gulfstream Media Group Design Awards for work in bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchens.

From contracting and purchasing to planning and scheduling to financial and management, Charlie’s accomplishments in construction and construction management have been far reaching and well documented. They have included:

 

  • In Management – Responsibilities for the management and development of a staff of project managers, superintendents, estimators and office support. Established Corporate Objectives and coordinated the efforts of the company to attain the corporate goals. Developed project scope, plans, budgets and schedules. Managed construction activities and controlled budgets. Was also responsible for Quality Control.
  • Financial – Developed cost and profit analysis on both a corporate and project level to insure compliance with company financial goals. Responsible for Profit & Loss as well as business growth.
  • Planning and Scheduling – Guided projects from conception through construction to completion. Direct involvement in the development and maintenance of project schedules using Microsoft Project, Sure-Trak and Primavera (P3) scheduling software. Developed Corporate annual plans and long range forecast.
  • Contracting and Purchasing – Established bidding procedures.  Negotiated terms and conditions of contracts directly with project Owners.  Executed purchase orders, construction subcontractor contracts and consulting agreements.  Directed contractors and consultants through all aspects of a project.  Monitored work quality and controlled payments.
